We gather at 23:00 on 7 July and roll out before midnight, driving through the night to arrive Biscarrosse on the 8th. Two vehicles, two corridors โ€” Cheddar (the van) goes via Utrecht, Sharon's car goes via Limburg, each picking up people along its line south. Remaining pickup spots/times to confirm in the chat.

Do I need to buy a tent / bring a sleeping bag? (Damian)
No need to buy a tent โ€” across the 5p and three 2p tents you've got a spot (you're in a 2p with Gracy). Do bring your own sleeping bag + a sleeping mat/pad and a small pillow โ€” those aren't on the shared list. A head-torch helps too.
Will we get a reminder of who brings what? (Maud)

Allergies & diets to cook around
๐Ÿฅฆ Sharon โ€” vegetarian. ๐ŸŒผ Damian โ€” hay fever (antihistamines handy). ๐Ÿ”ฉ Allegra โ€” nickel allergy. Plan at least some veggie meals and keep labels in mind when shopping.
What's NOT on the shared list โ€” bring your own
Sleeping bag, sleeping mat, pillow, towel(s), beach towel, sunscreen (lots), reusable water bottle, swimwear, flip-flops, personal meds, power bank, EU passport/ID, EHIC/insurance card, phone charger, and your surf wax. Wetsuit if you have one โ€” otherwise rent from Hardboard.
Driving Cheddar (the van)
Cheddar needs a Cheddar-licensed driver: Matthijs, Myrna and Hana have it โ€” rotate them on the long legs. Sharon's car: Sharon drives (it's hers), with Francisco & Damian on the foreign legs; Gracy can step in but isn't confident abroad. Everyone driving: bring your physical licence. Speeding fines are split across all of us.
Surfboards & wetsuits
Own wetsuit: {{ownWetsuit.join(', ')}}. Renting from Hardboard: {{rentWetsuit.join(', ')}} (Vincent rents a board too). Boards are a mix of softtops & hardtops โ€” coordinate roof/van space so we don't over-pack the small car.
Don't-forget admin
Join the WieBetaaltWat group so shared costs are tracked. Pitch placement is sorted โœ… (two pitches together). Vacate & clean the pitch by noon on the 15th to get the deposit back.
